Erwin Schrödinger’s Cat

It’s taken me only about 150 songs to finally come up with something approaching a Tom Lehrer song.  Schrödinger’s cat is a thought experiment in which subatomic effects might somehow be harnessed to have an effect on a large-scale system. … An atom is considered to be decayed and not decayed at the same time — which is monitored by a geiger counter which is rigged to break the poison container if it detects the breakdown of the atom, which poison in turn kills or does not kill the cat. … My song is a bit of an off-shoot on this idea, of a cart that exists in two states.  I suppose that if observed, the cat would vave to collapse into one state or the other, so until we look, you’ll just have to take my word for it.
